Barack Obama Addresses over 100k People in Denver - Huff Po

Senator Barack Obama addressed over 100,000 people at a political rally in Denver, Colorado this past weekend, and another 50K plus attendees at a second rally that day. The wave of support is rising and rising, and while we must remain enthusiastic, we must not grow complacent. The only way to actually win the election is to get out and vote.  So make sure you vote on November 4th, call, email, text message your friends, family and loved ones to vote, too.  And if you have already voted in this election, THANK YOU! Voting is more than just a right, it’s also a responsibility that we have as citizens to shape the direction of our country’s leadership.

This election cycle more than many that have come before is demonstrating to citizens that we have the power to give to the elected, not the other way around.  But that power comes through the ballot box, and through being engaged in the civic process of governance.  It’s fun to be involved, and more than fun; it satisfies that deep sense of connection with others that we crave and so often see unfulfilled.  Community is that sense of shared purpose and commonweal, and having that sense of belonging to something larger than oneself.

So go get out and do something this week – make telephone calls, visit shut-ins, volunteer at a campaign office.  And most importantly, VOTE!  Be Powerful; Be a Citizen Leader!
