McCain was in California at a fund raising event instead of voting on the new GI Bill – this is how he put Country First: by being absent from important votes in Congress. Too generous was how he described it.
As a Veteran of the United States Navy, I found this attitude to be heartless and cruel, incomprehensible to those Veterans who have made tremendous sacrifices to serve this country. As far as I’m concerned, there’s no such thing as a “too generous” benefit for such service
