The Senate plans on attaching the finanical bailout package to the H.R. 1424, the Paul Wellstone Mental Health and Addiction Equity Act of 2007, a bill that would provide mental health benefits to people, among other similar things. This is a worthwhile bill that needs not be bogged down in the financial bailout fiasco.
You can urge your Senators to vote against adding the bailout to this bill.
Let the bailout proceed at a more deliberative pace. Don’t let this become another Patriot Act.
